How We Use AI

The specific things BeautyOS AI will and will not do — enforced in the product, not just promised here.

Effective January 1, 2026

Why this page exists

AI in a beauty business touches people’s appearance, their money and sometimes their health. Vague assurances are not good enough. This page states the limits precisely, and each of them is enforced in code rather than left to a prompt.

Where AI is used

BeautyOS uses AI in a small number of clearly labelled places:

  • Drafting website copy and layouts you then edit
  • Answering client questions as your receptionist, within rules you set
  • Analysing a style photo a client sends to identify what service it corresponds to
  • Drafting marketing content for your approval
  • Answering your own questions about your business data

What AI will never do

These are hard limits:

  • It will not diagnose a medical, dermatological or scalp condition, and will refer health questions to a professional and to you
  • It will not guarantee an aesthetic result
  • It will not infer race, ethnicity, health status or identity from a photograph, a name, a location or a service
  • It will not invent a price — quotes come only from pricing rules you configured
  • It will not invent availability — times come only from your real calendar
  • It will not write or submit a review in a client’s name
  • It will not impersonate a client
  • It will not promise that a professional can complete a style without checking your own service and skill settings

How the price limit is enforced

When a client asks what something costs, the AI is not permitted to answer from memory. It must retrieve a matching pricing rule from your configuration; the number in the reply is then computed by BeautyOS from that rule, not written by the model.

If no rule matches, the request becomes a quote awaiting your approval. The client is told a professional will confirm the price — which is true, and better than a confident wrong number.

Style photo analysis

When a client uploads a reference photo, the analysis describes the style: the technique, the approximate length, the estimated time, and which of your services it matches. It describes hair and the work, not the person.

The result is a request for a quote, not a quote. You see what was identified and confirm or correct it.

Reviews

Every client whose appointment is completed is invited to review — not a filtered subset expected to be positive. Reviews are written and submitted by the client. AI does not draft them, sign them or send them.

Private feedback reaches the business first so a problem can be fixed, but a client is never prevented from posting publicly, and rewards are never conditional on a positive rating.

Human oversight

Every AI conversation is visible in your dashboard. You can take over a conversation at any time, edit what the receptionist is allowed to say, restrict it to specific topics, or turn it off entirely.

Marketing content is drafted, never published automatically without approval.

Your data and model training

Your client photographs and client records are not used to train AI models without explicit permission. AI providers process content to generate a response for you and are contractually restricted from using it for their own training.
